Pricing methodology

Published prices are dated snapshots from current first-party pages. We keep billing periods, included credits, taxes, promotions, renewals, and unverified costs separate, and we direct readers to recheck the live checkout before paying.

How a price is captured

Each price shown in a comparison is read directly from the vendor's own pricing page on the date shown in that article's footer, not from a third-party aggregator or a cached listing. We record the billing period (monthly, annual, per-credit) alongside the headline number, because a lower monthly figure on an annual plan can be misleading on its own.

What we separate out

Promotional pricing — a limited-time discount is noted as promotional, not folded into the standing price
Renewal price — an introductory rate that increases on renewal is flagged where the vendor discloses it
Taxes and regional pricing — vendor prices can vary by billing region or exclude tax; we note the currency and region shown to us, which may not match yours
Included credits or generations — a plan's per-month generation allowance is recorded separately from the subscription price itself
